The fruit is medium to large, long and angular, sometimes with a distinctive ridge up one side, and pale green to pale yellow. The flesh is yellowish white, juicy and soft, with a good, tart, apple y flavour, cooking to a froth; as it ripens it becomes sweeter, and can then be eaten
