This petoskey stone ring is in a new style I'm making that uses durable stainless steel bands with a fine silver bezel to hold the stone

This fordite is from a plant in Chillecothe Ohio that paints parts for big freightliner semis

I added a nice texture pattern to the back of the setting and antiqued this piece (intentional darkening of the silver) to help bring out the depth in the pattern

It's a very pretty stone in a hue somewhere between pink and red that I really like. I cut the stone in a domed oval and set it in solid sterling silver. I textured the back of the setting with a pebble like design. This is a large pendant for a datolite (they are typically very small) with a stone that measures about 20 x 16 in mm. The pictured solid sterling silver chain is 20 inches in length. I
