Front Gate timber Designed by architect William deWeathered brick pillars and rusting iron bars mark the front gate of Newington Armament Depot and Nature Reserve, the entry point to a site that stored and distributed armaments for the Royal Australian Navy from 1921 until the last ammunition operation in December 1999. The Federation face brick construction dates to the original 1897 establishment. Part of the Newington Armory series.
