This early 19th century piece is in incredible condition for its age. This piece is heavy for its size. The dog form finial, shell and paw feet and the lion face decorations are all separately cast and applied. The locking mechanism works well and we have the original key. This piece is finely constructed. There is a small hinged handle on the top. but we could not get it
