Top Floor Type:Framed the last permanent resident leftThe top floor of the novitiate building at the former Lewisham Hospital, Convent and Grounds, photographed in 2019. Sunlight cuts across walls stripped back to bare plaster, paint peeling in long sheets, debris collected on the floor below. The Little Company of Mary operated this complex from 1889 until 1986, nearly a century of continuous Catholic institutional life in the inner west. Part of the Lewisham Hospital series.
