There were many soldiers with artistic leanings creating artwork at the front

The frame is made from brass with a wood handle and brass fittings

It is in very good condition although it is a little warped. The tray does not lay flat and is a little wobbly. Pelikan was one of the bigger office and ink supply companies. The logo is the design that came out in 1937. It measures about 6 7 8" by 4 3 8"
