some of the holes in the leather still have the little leather plugs stuck in them from when the holes were punched

This is a front line piece that would have been used in forward positions and not just in the rear

One side of the board is for checkers (Dame) and the other side is for Mhle (Nine Men's Morris). When closed. the square case measures about 5".
