Untitled Rustic It has this hollow feelingThis painting is part of a series in which I have explored optical illusions. I make use of the contrast effect in visual perception, where the same color appears to have different levels of darkness in different areas. As a side effect, this also creates a light, grid shaped optical illusion within the painting. I have used a restrained color palette to create a calming and suggestive visual language.
