A wonderful little hat by Pierre Balmain in an easy to style shape and black and white colorway

The sleeves are just past the elbow and have that same knife pleated treatment to them

I love how they contrast top to bottom

Over this are two sweeping slightly off shoulder swatches of fabric that sweep up from the center waist

Really one of the best example of silk and textiles of this period I have seen
